Oh my goodness!

Look at...
those...
sweet cheeks!

I got to have a sneak peek inside the womb this afternoon. I am measuring about 2 weeks ahead and having some pressure, so a growth scan ultrasound was in order. So according to the ultrasound this little chubby bunny already weighs 6 lbs, 8 oz...um did I mention I am only 34 weeks preggers today. Apparently the ultrasounds could go + or - one pound, but still this is going to be a big baby! So we're just holding steady for a while and will have another ultrasound in a few weeks it seems to check the weight again and then perhaps make some plans for birthing this big sweet baby! So fun to see him or her for a few minutes, made me get really, really excited. Stay tuned!

Catching up...

37 days until this "little critter" turns 3, I found him on our bed the other day with the clothes basket on top of him. He said he was pretending to be Marzi in her cat carrier...pretty sure he's never seen her in it, but cute nonetheless.
Jumped at a jumping castle birthday party last night, so much fun!
Helped mommy bake peanut butter cookies this afternoon, thanks Grandma for the apron, it's multi purpose for cooking and crafting you see.
48 days (give or take) till this "baby" turns into a big brother, oh wait, he already looks big enough don't you think, man love those green eyes!

56...

days left until my due date...March 8! Whoa! Finally got Matt to snap a few shots tonight of the belly at 32 weeks. We haven't done that great of a job documenting this time around. The question of the hour these days...man how are you feeling? The answer...pregnant, very pregnant! I am still working full time, plan on doing it until the baby comes or my doctor says otherwise...which makes for a worn out girl at the end of the day. My feet are swollen by the time I get home and other parts are achy as well, it's been a bit harder on me this time around. BUT the great news is that my blood pressure has been great so far...around 30 weeks with Ollie my bp started going up which led into me checking it everyday, coming home from work 2 hours early to "rest," and being induced a week early. All of which was better the second after he made his entrance into the world, love your prayers that the bp stays normal for 8 more weeks. Emotionally I am getting really excited to meet this little person, to find out finally if "it" is a he or she. I still sit on the fence...protecting my heart a bit I say, but will be happy either way.
This little guy is getting geared up to be a big brother. I was trying to get him to kiss the belly, he was a bit apprehensive...it's big, I know! He goes back and forth on whether he's having a brother or sister, if daddy's nearby it's definitely a brother. We do have a boy's name picked out but still aren't solid on a girls, mainly b/c Matt is so sure it is another boy! For curiosity sake I added a poll to my blog, so if you haven't voted yet please do (if you're reading this in google reader, you have to click on the blue headline to visit the real thing to cast your vote!) Says polls close in 18 days, but they might be opened a bit longer. 56 more days...I better go nest!!

Red light Green light!!!!

We're trying to be a bit creative around our house these days with things to do at night before bed, one thing we taught Ollie how to play was Red Light, Green Light...with a few minor adjustments. The first time we played he had some pattern blocks( courtesy of Mrs. Hannam's classroom) in his hand or something and put them down on the ground on one end of our hall. So now everytime we play he runs to his room grab some shapes and says "we're ready to play now!"
This is where the "caller" sits...one end of the hall, on the bathroom stool. You know the rules, whoever touches the caller first gets to be the new caller. It is important to note that we have a great hallway for this game. It is also important to note that Ollie loves to be the caller. Sorry these pics are a bit blurry...trying to capture action in a manual mode on my camera...you can see me in the corner of the mirror. It is also important to note that I had quite a few braxton hicks contractions while playing this game earlier tonight...fun times!
Green light in action!
As mentioned above we play this game with a few minor adjustments, one being we had to knock out the yellow light, that one was a bit too confusing, so we roll with Green (run) Red (stop) and then my favorite (which also came from Mrs. Hannam's class) Purple Light...when the caller calls purple light you have to stop and shake what your moma gave you of course. We all love the Purple light!
