Handy Honey!

I have a Handy Honey! I haven't posted any pictures of our newly, fabulous pantry that my sweetie just finished a few weeks ago. We have a small, but cute house you see and storage has always been issue for us, so Matt decided to bust through the wall in our laundry room raise the floor of the outside utility room and build us a pantry. I love it!!! Everything has it's place, the trash and recycling bins are out of the way, the cat food is tucked in the corner, the broom has a spot. The best part of all is that after assembling the whole darn thing, Matt decided one night that he would organize all our of cabinets, Wowie wow, wow as Junie B. Jones (2nd grade reference) would say.

Wow, he even tiled the floor to match the laundry room slate, I love that guy! Here're a shout out to my handy honey, you ROCK!

Business up front...

...Party in the back or rather I think Ollie's motto is "Party all the time." So our son will turn 16 months old next week, he had a check up today and he is in the 97th %tile in height...most people think he's 2 already b/c he's so darn tall. He is a boy on the go I tell you. I started reading Bringing up Boys this week and I'm learning boys are just well boys, it's their nature. This stage of Olliehood is so fun, don't get me wrong it has its own kind of challenges. I just took these pictures of Ollie b/c his hair was just out of control. We've only trimmed his bangs one time but the back is all natural. I sort of wonder what he would look like without all the party in the back, but his hair, I think, fits his personality, just Ollie. I know eventually we'll have to cut it but for now I'm just enjoying the way the wind is blowing the hair of my sweet little boy on this beautiful sunny Wednesday afternoon.

Happy 40 Years!!

Phrona and Charlie Lybrand circa 1968

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. " 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

To my baby's daddy

1st time camping!

We headed up to Stuart, Virginia this past Saturday to go camping while it was still cool, ha! We went with our friends John and Loren and their son, Bryan. It was fun, hot, but fun.
Ollie was very curious about this whole tent thing, and he absolutely loved the fact that his bed did not have "walls." We overall did pretty well in the family bed and it actually did cool off during the night.
We hiked down the hill to a fun little creek and played for a while to cool off. Ollie is quickly learning to love anything that has to do with water in this 98 degree summer weather.
The boys settled into a dirt pile for a little "free play" after dinner.
I think camping is good for the soul, even if the soul is only 1 year old, :)!

Wrightsville!

We went to the beach this weekend with our sweet friends the Loflins. It was so good to re-connect with them. We went swimming in salty and chlorine water, ate yummy food, took naps, talked, tickled, went on a tug boat ride on the Elizabeth Noble with Bob and just had plain fun. We did not want to come back to reality.
