Class of 2029!
Tonight the Hannam trio ventured to our (sadly) very first Gardner-Webb Alumni event...a Grasshoppers game. It was a family fun bargain we couldn't quite pass up, all you can eat dinner plus the ticket in the YES! Weekly Party Deck section for $10! What a delicious deal!
This is little baseball fan seemed to love all the "noise" of the game, Hoo, Hoo he kept saying. And he shook what his momma gave him more than once!
So cute, so fun, I heart this warm weather! I also heart triple coupons...they're back starting tomorrow! Oh yeah, I also heart the Runnin' Bulldogs, Class of 2029, so crazy!

30th Birthday Bash!
Last night my friend Kelly and I celebrated our 30th birthday's together. I've been 30 for about a month now and she will turn 30 in a couple of weeks. We ate, danced, sang, laughed, talked, took lots of pictures, but mainly just had fun being with friends. What a fabulous evening, boy do Charlie and Matt know how to throw a good party!
Special thanks to our friend the Smiths for hosting this glorious event! Millie made this stunning cake herself with a chocolate, vanilla and strawberry layer, it was A-Maz-ing!!!
Here I am with Kelly the other birthday girl, here's to birthdays, here's to friends, thanks for making me feel so special!

Las Vegas...the review!
So we headed to Vegas last week for a few days last week on my spring break. The adventures started as we were driving down Bryan Blvd toward the airport and the man from Ritz camera called and said MY LENS WAS BACK! My baby took one look in my eyes and knew what he HAD to do, so he whipped it around at the next intersection to head to Friendly Center and then back to Efland Dr. to get my camera. We made it to the airport in just enough time, actually our flight was a bit delayed so it all worked out. I was one happy traveler! We got to Vegas really late Wednesday night, ate Baja Fresh at 2:00 in the morning, hit up the slots one time and then called it a night. Our hotel room was pretty pimp, we got upgraded when we arrived which was a super added bonus. The next day Matt headed to the ISA Sign Expo '09, I hung out and then met him for lunch. We met back up for some r and r later that afternoon and into the night.
I enjoyed hanging by the pool, it was so relaxing and read most of a new book, Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult, it's a good read! We ate lobster tails one night and sushi the next. We saw loads of crazy stuff on the strip. We went in several different casinos, the MGM was probably our favorite, but we stayed in the Excalibur (pictured above.) We saw one man walk up to a roulette table and put down ten $100 bills on the table, to only lose it 2 minutes later. As if that wasn't crazy enough, he then did it all over again and won! I cannot fathom putting $2000 on the table just like that. Overall our impression of Vegas was pretty much this: Vegas=Myrtle Beach only on Ecstasy.
We got dressed up Friday night, my black boots made the trip!
I'm glad we went, it was great to do something different, BUT we were super excited to see this little guy when we got home and yes that is a pile of dirt/manure for our backyard garden.

praying for Wesley
Our dear friends Greg and Lucy were expecting their first baby this July. Baby Wesley made his arrival into this world a little earlier than they thought as he was born last Sunday, 15 weeks early. Sweet Wesley is fighter weighing less than 3 pounds, he is the apple of his mommy and daddy's eyes. They started a blog this weekend and I know that they would appreciate your prayers whether you know them or not.

black and white
black
"it was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out in a loud voice, Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. when he had said this he breathed his last. the centurion, seeing what has happened, praised God and said, 'surely this was a righteous man.'" luke 23:44-47
white
"there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow. the guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. the angel said to the women, do not be afraid, for i know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, he has risen, just as he said." mat. 28:2-6
Jesus
"for God so loved the world that he gave his only and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. for God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." john 3:16-17

blogger's block
I think I am suffering from a case of blogger block. No news to ramble about, no pics to share, just a blogging block.
My friend Amy did introduce me to a cool website today that is all about coupons and deals... you should check it out.
And I was reminded of this in church yesterday, it was underlined in lime green gel pen...
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14
the end.
