change...

...pulled this one out of the archives, Ollie was about 7 months old...his first season of fall.

Apparently I am sentimental about seasons. Remember back in winter when I blogged about my sentiments on spring? Well today I find myself looking forward to the changes that are bound to happen. I love freshly sharpened #2 pencils. I love walking out of my house first thing in the morning and the crisp cool air meets you at your first breath.

I love when my new crop of kids walk into school on the first day with their bags of brand new school supplies, an organizer I am not, but I love to separate and file all those precious goodies. I love when the leaves start to fall and when you walk you can hear them crunch under your feet. I love big fat pumpkins on your porch and picking out a mum or two at the farmer's market.

I love having a reason to splurge on apple cider and my mouth waters at the thought of it simmering right now in my kitchen. I love not needing the ac but going windows only, how refreshing. I love Halloween costumes and candy corn. I am excited about the changes the season of fall will bring.

I love embracing...change.

"Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your heart with joy." Acts 14:17
